HiToP ® THERAPY
HiToP® high-frequency therapy is an advanced form of electrotherapy that works holistically on the body. Using high-frequency oscillations, it stimulates cellular metabolism, improves intercellular communication, and enables effective pain relief, faster healing, and regeneration of the body. [1]
What is HiToP® therapy?
-
HiTop® - High-frequency therapy is a new innovation in the field of physiotherapy. It makes the use of electrical energy to relieve pain and support treatment as pleasant, well-tolerated and effective as possible - depending on the type of problem, either without stimuli or with so-called stimulus effects, which are used, for example, to strengthen muscles, reduce swelling (edema) and improve metabolism in diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN).
-
-
High-frequency alternating fields at high tones flood the affected areas, e.g. in osteoarthritis – the spine, knees, hips, shoulders, etc. – as well as the entire organism.
-
-
Therapy usually includes a holistic treatment of the body (vitalization) and one or more local (topical) treatments, which are mostly performed in a lying position, in a calm and relaxed environment.
-
-
The therapy is often calming, promotes sleep, and feels very pleasant – at the same time vitalizing and relaxing. [1]
What are the effects?
-
Injecting energy into the body to activate cells
-
Increasing and multiplying the number of mitochondria – the energy centers of cells
-
Reducing swelling in vein, kidney and heart diseases and after injuries
-
Creating vibrations and very fine mechanical oscillations in the tissue to facilitate metabolism and relieve pain
-
Improving or activating metabolism
-
Detoxifying the body
-
Cell renewal
-
Vitalization
-
Increase in muscle mass [3]
How does the therapy work?
-
The therapy takes place in a calm, relaxed environment, where the patient lies comfortably. Special electrodes that are gently attached to the body direct high-frequency vibrations into the body - from the feet to the neck and arms. This pleasant vibration stimulates regeneration, relieves pain and is often so relaxing that patients fall asleep during the therapy. One therapy usually lasts from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
-
HiToP® therapy is a painless, natural support for the body and a welcome experience for many – even those with sensitivity to classical electrotherapy. [2 ]
Contraindications - which conditions should not be treated?
-
Pacemakers and other implanted electronic medical devices
-
Febrile systemic infections
-
Local bacterial infections at the treatment site
-
Pregnancy
-
Organ transplant patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy (especially with certain HiToP modulations, e.g. SimulFAM i) [1]
